Mission: To improve learning outcomes for students and engage stakeholders by administering research-based surveys that promote high-quality instructional practice.
My Student Survey began survey administration in 2010 as part of Georgia’s Race to the Top Initiative. Since then, My Student Survey has conducted surveys for some of the largest school districts across the country including the New York City Department of Education (largest in the country), the DeKalb County School System, (28th largest), Baltimore City Schools (37th largest), Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools (42nd largest), Aldine Independent School District (62nd largest), DC Public Schools, and many more. As a survey provider, we have conducted multiple survey administrations for students, parents, and staff members. Overall, we have worked with more than 50 districts, 2000 schools, 50,000 teachers, and over 1,000,000 survey takers.
At My Student Survey, we are researchers and former teachers. Collectively we have taught in elementary, middle and high school classrooms in urban, suburban and rural settings with diverse student populations. All of us have also served in school leadership, district leadership, or both. We designed our surveys not only to empower students, but also to empower teachers, school and district leaders who support great teaching. Our experience as educators is the foundation for our survey design, our approach to working with school districts, and our mission of supporting teacher and school development through survey feedback.
My Student Survey is located in Nashville, Tennessee and is within a historically underutilized business zone (HUBZone). We have familiarity working with large federal contracts and have subcontracted with several organizations for nationwide survey administration involving a variety of stakeholders.
